Delicious Valentine’s Treat recipe: Chocolate Mint Bars


For all you Valentines Day enthusiasts, I’ve got a great recipe for  you.  I usually use my husband as for inspiration and in this case I really took into consideration his likes and what makes him happy.  I wanted indulge him with the best tasty and mouth-watering dessert.

Making delicious Chocolate-Mint Bars.

If you are a big fan of Chocolate-Mint Girl Scout cookies like my husband, this is defiantly going to win over your loved one. Chocolate-Mint Bar cake has a unique and simple way of cooking. Below you will find a step by step way of preparing this delicious dessert from the foundation layer to the gloss top layer.

Start with:
Foundation Layer
Have your all-purpose flour ready (1 Cup)
1/2 teaspoon salt
A cup of granulated sugar
Substitute egg (1/2 Cup)
Melted Butter (1/4 Cup)
Two tablespoon water
Vanilla Extract (1 Teaspoon)
2 Eggs, beaten
Chocolate Syrup
Cooking Spray

Mint Layer
Powdered Sugar( 2 Cups)
Melted Butter (1/4 Cup)
Fat-free milk (2 Tablespoons)
Peppermint extract (1/2 Teaspoon)
Green food coloring

Gloss Layer
Semisweet chocolate chips (3/4 Cup)
Butter (3 Tablespoons)
Put flour into a measuring cup and level it, mix flour and salt then stir. Mix granulated sugar, egg substitute, melted butter, water, vanilla, eggs and chocolate syrup in a bowl, stir until smooth. Add the mixture to chocolate mixture and stir.
Pour this mixture to a pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 23 minutes. Cool it on a wire rack.

Preparing your Mint Layer
Combine the ingredients in a medium bowl through food coloring. Mix until smooth. Spread the mixture over a cooled cake.

Preparing the gloss layer
Combine the ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl and high heat until melted, stirring it after every 30 seconds. Spread it equally on top of the cake. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Cut to your desirable pieces and serve
